The origin of this restaurant is by now integral part of the history of Positano. Toward the end of the years ‘60, the young far-seeing Luigi Russo “Positanese” by birth, son of a blacksmith, taken in rent an old place on the beach of Positano, to the epoch turned to Salts and Tobaccos into a small cafe-restaurant. After a few years, Baldassarre Parlato places side by side him, an audacious young guy that, strong of his experience as waiter on transatlantic restaurants and in England, had moved the first footsteps in the night-time Club, opening the night "La fregata." It was so, that the two set out in a fortunate commercial partnership that would almost have lasted 40 years, finished only for the premature death of Luigi in February of 2005.
In the following years the constitution of their partnership, gave life to another memorable night-time local: "The QuickSilver", disco of excesses that made tendency for all the ‘70.
Meanwhile the tourism to Positano changed, and also the passion for the restaurant in narrow sense, let to Luigi and Baldo skipped the other places to devote more and more to "La Cambusa".
They purely set as soon as a based restaurant on a local kitchen, made of products of first quality, cooked in the simplest way and next to the Coastal tradition, rich of tastes and to the meantime delicate and light, that would have held glued on the chairs the most varied characters that in the years are passed for Positano.
A full showcase always of the best fishes fished in the bay, a taken care of service and the enchanting position, have done, and make some this restaurant, a place like few in the world.
Often understands to the visitors that are found in the outskirts of the restaurant of good morning, or see to arrive the fishermen with wood reliquaries containers alive fishes just fished, or to be able to admire the lobsters of “Li Galli" that walk in the showcase to every time of the day.
Currently the restaurant is managed from Baldo and Danielle, that strong of a pluri-decennial experience they conduct this place it was almost a mission
